Teacher Recruitment + Retention Resource

A guided online experience to help districts recruit, support, and retain great teachers.

Great teaching depends on great teachers.

Impact Florida is developing a teacher recruitment and retention resource, a guided online portal that will help district teams apply a proven continuous improvement process to teacher recruitment, support, and retention.

The digital resource will guide district leaders through a process they can apply to local teacher talent challenges and revisit as their work progresses.

Teacher talent takes intention.

Every student deserves great teaching. But strong teacher teams don’t happen by chance.

How do we retain more teachers?
What does our data tell us about who is staying, who is leaving, and why?
What do teachers and school leaders say they need?
Where should we focus first?

“When everyone could see the same data at the same time, we stopped talking about perceptions and started solving problems together.”

A process districts can use.

The digital resource grows out of Impact Florida’s Teacher Workforce Cadre, where Florida districts worked alongside Impact Florida to better understand and address teacher talent challenges in their own communities.

The work helped districts use data, teacher voice, and local context to name the right problem, choose a focused strategy, and keep learning as they implemented.

Developed from real Florida district work

The guided resource will bring this process into a guided portal for more district teams across Florida.

“Collecting data for the sake of collecting data doesn’t go anywhere.”

Built to keep the work moving.

Teacher recruitment and retention work can feel too big to manage, especially when it sits on top of everything else district teams are already carrying.

The guided online experience is being designed to make the work easier to start and easier to sustain.

  • Learn Impact Florida’s continuous improvement process.
  • Connect the process to your own teacher talent challenges.
  • Use tools and examples from Florida districts.
  • Save progress and return over time.
  • Receive prompts and reminders to help the work continue.

“The biggest thing this work has given us is the time and space to have these conversations and get to the work.”
